Meet Info and Practice Info for the Upcoming Week
Good morning,
Just a reminder about our first "official" meet this coming Wednesday, June 16th. This is an AWAY meet, held at the Spotswood Pool (403 Lorraine Ave, Fredericksburg, VA 22408).
You have until 9:00pm tonight to declare your swimmer. After this time, no swimmers may be added. The coaches must seed the meet and submit it to the RSL. The system does not allow additions after that is completed.
Meet start time for the 1st session is 5:00pm. Coaches are asking all 1st session swimmers to arrive no later than 4:15pm and 2nd session swimmers no later than 6:45pm for warm-ups. Please allow time for traffic and getting set-up in your seating location. Swimmers should plan to arrive in their suits.
As a reminder, 6 and under swimmers will nor travel to the meet. Instead they will race at practice on Wednesday morning. If you are a parent of a 6 and under swimmer, we can use timers to help at this session.
Job sign-ups are open for this meet as well. Please keep in mind that all times are approximate so allow a little flexibility. Job sign-ups close on Monday at 11:00pm.
Meet assignments will be posted on Tuesday. Only those swimmers participating in the meet should come to practice on Wednesday. Wednesday practice is 30 minutes of "meet prep" per age group.
13 and over 8:00-8:30am
9-12 8:30-9:00am
8 and under 9:00-9:30am
The meet announcement is attached to this email and posted on our website. Please review it, especially the sections regarding General, Concessions and Covid-19. Spotswood will have a food truck for their concessions. Parking is along Lorraine Avenue.
Starting tomorrow, Monday, June 14th, our morning practice times begin.
Monday, Tuesday and Friday are as follows:
7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. – 13 + year olds
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. – 9-12 year olds
9:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m – Stroke clinic (9 and up)
9:15 a.m. – 10:00- a.m. – 8 and Under
10:00 a.m.--10:15 a.m. – Stroke clinic (8 and under)
Thursdays after the meet are a "Fun Day" and run 9:00-10:00am for all swimmers.
