2023 Completed Training
All RSL Training is completed through an online course, with some positions requiring an additional in-person mentor session.

2023 Waiver Requests for USAS/VHSL Trained Positions
As in the past years, for certain positions that have undergone the trainings provided by USA Swimming or the Virginia High School Leagues, a waiver request can be submitted to the RSL by using the link to submit their forms and documentation:

Head Scorekeeper
- Must Be Trained Annually
- Complete the Online Training here:
- Can request a mentor session if interested
Computer Operators
- At least ONE computer operator per team MUST be Head Scorekeeper Trained

Head Timer
- Must complete training annually.
- Complete the Online Training here:
- Can request a mentor session if interested
Clerk of Course
- Must complete training annually.
- Complete the Online Training here:
- Can request a mentor session if interested
Starter
- Must complete training annually.
- New starters should shadow an experience starter for at least ½ of a meet that includes forwards and backwards starts.
Stroke and Turn
- Must complete training annually.
- New Stroke and Turn officials should shadow an experience S&T judge for at least ½ of a meet.
Referee
- Must complete training annually.
- Must attend in-person / online Referee Meeting on TBD date
- New Referees should shadow an experienced Ref for at least ½ of a meet and/or fill the admin ref position.
