The Alan Divine Scholarship is awarded yearly to two deserving members (one male, one female) of the Hampton Oaks Swim Team (HOST). The scholarship is intended to be used towards the member's college expenses. 

The fund was created in loving memory of a great supporter of our team, Alan Divine. Alan's daughter, Madisen, was a 9-year member of HOST. Alan was always ready with a dynamic smile, words of encouragement and a helping hand. His poolside presence is greatly missed by the HOST organization. 

The Hampton Oaks Swim Team is excited to award a $500 scholarship to one male and one female swimmer each season. The scholarship is offered to rising seniors, new graduates and those currently in college. Potential winners need to meet a list of criteria and also be nominated by another swimmer or family from the team. Here is what we are looking for each nominee to display:

1. They must have a commitment to the team and our team goals.

2. They must have participated in fundraising/spirit events.
3. They must be a role model for their peers.
4. They must be able to qualify to swim at finals, but they do not have to swim at finals.
5. They must demonstrate a spirit of cooperation, a positive attitude, and commitment to our team.

Nomination forms can be found in our blue box at the pool or HERE on our website. Please place your nominations in the SCHOLARSHIP folder or return to a Board Member NO LATER THAN Wednesday, July 21st. Scholarship winners will be announced on Sunday at our End-Of-Season Banquet. The Fund accepts donations through checks only to avoid additional processing fees. Hampton Oaks Swim Team is a 501c3 non-profit organization and your generous donations are tax deductible. You may nominate more than one swimmer.  Just fill out a nomination form for each swimmer you feel is deserving of this award.  Swimmers may be nominated by multiple people so please, don't hesitate to complete a nomination form, even if you think the swimmer has already been nominated.

Additionally, we need 1-2 parents to join the nomination committee and help review all nominations.  Please contact Anji as well if you are interested in helping out.
