Swimsuit Sales

Swimsuits will be purchased online this year through our SwimOutlet store. During our parent meeting, we will have suits available in all sizes for your swimmer to try on if your are not sure of a size. Please have your swimmer wear another bathing suit (or undergarments) for sanitary purposes. Suit will be tried on over this. Please stop by to be fit for and purchase your 2023 team suit. Team suits are OPTIONAL. |

"Qualifying" Swim Monday

All new swimmers (regardless of age or experience level) MUST complete a qualifying swim which consists of one length of the pool without stopping. ANY stroke may be used. Parents may be in the water for support, but may not assist their swimmers. If you are unable to attend this qualifying swim, please email our head coach to make other arrangements. This will be an awesome opportunity for new swim parents to get to know seasoned swim parents over snacks, drinks, and possibly some awkward ice-breakers (no promises either way on this one). HOST will provide snacks, so ditch your rug-rats, bring an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink to share, and we'll see you there! |

This is a potluck, so please be sure to sign-up for a dish to pass. We will give awards, recognize our amazing coaches and volunteers and hold our annual "membership meeting" to vote in our new HOST Board members. Championship Meet Battlefield Division

The Championship Meet is a little different. Due to entry rules set by the League, we cannot guarantee that every swimmer will swim at finals, however, our coaches do their very best to include as many swimmers as possible within the confines of entry limits and allowing for maximum scoring possibilities. Swimmers are ranked into 3 groups – A/B/C – by their times. The top two swimmers for each group will be entered into the Championship. It is important that you let the coaches know AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE if you are available (or NOT available) for the Championship Meet. We are asking all swimmers to declare their availability ASAP and PLEASE update it as soon as possible if your plans change. MEET ENTRIES CLOSE ON MONDAY, July 18th. If you have not RSVP'd yes by then. it is assumed that your swimmer is NOT available and they will NOT be seeded in the Championship Meet. Please remember, declaring for the meet is NOT a guarantee your child will swim, only that they are available to participate. We CANNOT change the final entries once they are posted so if your swimmer is seeded in the meet it is EXPECTED that they will swim. If they do not show up, they have taken a spot from another swimmer, and possibly disqualified their relay team. |

Please allow time to get your area set-up and your swimmer ready at the meet before warmups. If you can walk to the pool please do so to allow room to park for our away team. Volunteer positions open at 8:00am on July 7th and close at 11:00pm on July 11th. |

Lap-A-Thon

Attention all Hurricane Swimmers!! We are holding our LAP-A-THON on Thursday, June 30th from 8:00am until 10:00am. Please come and join us in this super fun family-friendly event. It is a great day to enjoy refreshments and have fun cheering on our swimmers while raising funds for the swim team. We have great prizes for swimmers who raise the most money and swim the most laps. 2022 Prizes:
The Lap-A-Thon is our largest fundraiser and allows HOST to continue to award two scholarships annually to college bound seniors and well as purchase capital equipment items (such as our lane lines). More information and nomination forms will be coming next week on the scholarship process. We are asking each swimmer to sign up and participate in our LAP-A-THON by asking for pledges for each lap you swim or with a flat donation from friends and family. Pledge forms will be available every morning at practice. If you have any questions, please contact our Sponsorship Representative, TBD We would love for parent participation as well. You can help count laps, cheer on your swimmer, and participate in the Parent / Coach vs Swimmer Relay Race. Yes, that’s right… you can compete against your kids! Parents, be sure to let us know if you will be participating. We need at least 10 parents! Let's show our kids we know how to have fun!!!! Breakfast snacks will be available for our swimmers so they can stay fueled while swimming their laps! Looking forward to seeing you there! |
